EnCompass Workshop

Thursday, October 10, from 1-5 pm, $495*

Join us for this review of several types of emerging technologies and their unique features. Batteries (short and long duration), hydrogen facilities including storage impacts, and natrium conversions are some of the technologies we are seeing among our client base. Also prominently featured in planning applications are demand programs such as energy efficiency, electric vehicles, and demand response considered as a capital project option reducing or redistributing demand as part of the overall system balance.

All of of these projects have a direct effect on the grid. Considering congestion and reliability issues is an important part of the overall decision making process for capital projects.

This workshop will focus on modeling these different technologies and evaluating system impact and validating results. We'll walk you through running a capacity expansion study and then evaluate the results within a nodal transmission framework, to forecast congestion and profitability of the additions using different points of interconnections.

* This is an optional training, a $495 fee will be invoiced directly after the event. Opt in when you register for the UGM.
